The Point & Shoot Pre-Order Giveaway
Point & Shoot, the long-awaited third installment in my Charlie Hardie series, will be out April 30th. I know some of you have had this sucker pre-ordered for a while, and I'd like to thank you personally -- along with everyone else who pre-orders a copy.
That's right... it's postcard time again!
Two years ago I sent dozens of postcards from various stops on a cross-country driving tour to people who pre-ordered Fun & Games.
This year, I'm more or less staying put here in Philadelphia (working on the next novel), but that doesn't mean I can't send you a thin slice of postal thanks. So if you pre-order P&S at any time, right up to the pub date (April 30), I'll send you a personalized postcard, thanking you. The postcards will be as cheesy and tasteless and weird as can be. If you pre-ordered two years ago, you know what I mean. And my handwriting kind of sucks, but that's part of the charm. (Right?)
But that's not all. Ten names will be chosen at random to receive pulpy-type prizes, including signed novels or comics and sweet vintage paperbacks from my own collection.
The prize thing, sadly, is limited to readers in the U.S. But I'll send a postcard anywhere in the world. All you have to do is fill out the handy form below!
Huge props to Pamela Brown, Amanda Lang and the Mulholland Books gang for helping me organize this madness. And thanks to all of you (ever-so-patient) Charlie Hardie fans out there.
Awesome. I liked the card you sent me last time (Annie Oakley). I really cannot wait to read this book!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Angie! I remember that card, actually...
ReplyDeleteGreat idea. Like the rest of your fans, I've been looking forward to this since I turned the first page of Fun & Games.
ReplyDeleteNice. I've been holding onto the first two so I could do a marathon read. I've enjoyed your work sop much that I have complete confidence that I'll devour them.
ReplyDeleteJust got through re-reading The Wheelman last night. Can't wait!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Guy. I hope you'll enjoy the final installment...
ReplyDeleteSpecklebang: Wow. But what if the first one completely sucks? :)
Ezra: Thanks for re-reading! (Someday, I'd love to do a WHEELMAN sequel...)
I have been looking forward to this for some time, good luck with the new book, cannot wait to read it
ReplyDeleteThis is a great idea and looking forward to reading Hardie's end(that probably didn't come out right).
ReplyDeleteDidn't see a topic yet, but I can't wait for your take on "X". One of my favorite characters from the early/mid 90's. With the great work you have been doing with Bloodshot, I'm sure this one is going to be awesome!
Thanks,
Brad
Hey Duane,
ReplyDeleteI'm super excited for Point & Shoot. I tried to preorder from my preferred ebook store (Kobo), but they don't seem to have it available. They have your other books. Any idea who I could bug at your publisher to get it available at Kobo?
Dave
Can't wait, for Point and Shoot. Based on the second book, I'm prepared for anything! Looking forward to the postcard as well. I keep the first one safely tucked inside my copy of Fun and Games.
ReplyDeleteJuiceless: Sorry for the delay, but you can definitely order P&S at Kobo: http://www.kobobooks.com/ebook/Fun-and-Games/book-bj5mJKNqmkeJGa4MySyfoA/page1.html
ReplyDeleteGot it, and ordered. Thanks Duane! Can't wait to read it.
