Girl Missing

The "Messiah War" may be over, but that doesn't mean it's all marshmallows and rainbows for Cable and Hope—as you'll see in these preview pages for Cable #16, out today. Joining Cable is legendary artist Paul Gulacy, and his stuff blew me away from the very first page. Here's hoping you'll check out a copy.

Duane,

I really like Gulacy's art. Is he going to be the new regular penciler for the series? If not, how about trying to grab any of the following:

- Mike Choi (drew an incredible Cable in the MW prologue; big, hairy and mean, like he's supposed to be)

- Chris Bachalo (did a great job drawing Nathan during Mike Carey's X-men run, plus he excels at drawing crazy sci-fi environments)

- Leinil Yu (does gritty very well)

- Scott Eaton (should be available now that he's no longer on X-men Legacy; does a nice job with big, muscular characters and drew a nice Cable during Messiah Complex when he fought Deathstrike)

Also, any chance of Cable and Hope returning to the present anytime soon to rejoin the X-men? I was hoping that would happen at the end of Messiah War, but it looks we'll have to wait awhile longer for that reunion. Can you drop any hints as to how long that wait might be? I really enjoy seeing Cable interact with the rest of the X-men.

Thanks.

Hey, Bodyslide: Check out the Marvel solicit for Cable #18 to see the name of the artist who's next on deck. And as far as Cable and Hope returning to present... keep reading! (That's all I can say without Axel Alonso shooting me in the head.)

Okay. Will do, on both counts. Thanks.

Hey,

How come I never got a response to my questions!LOL

Mauro: Sorry... what was your question?

Hi Duane,

The questions were in the "Get your Cable On" topic. I'll sort of repost them here:

1. In X-Men #200 Cable seemingly died, but then came back during MC. Is there a plan to tell the story of how he survived and where he was for 5 months?

2. Will Cable ever get the "professor" back? That interaction was cool.

3. Any chance for an all soldier Cable/ Captain America crossover (written by yourself and Brubaker)after the next messiah crossover in 2010?

4. Is Axel trying to find a permanent artist, or is content going "arc to arc"?

Mauro: Sorry, I totally missed those questions. So strange... anyway, a few of your questions will be answered in next week's X-Position at CBR, so I'll hold off for now. As far as a Cap/Cable team-up... God, that would be cool. But no plans as of now.
