I read a short piece in today's NYT Style section about Neil Krug's pulpy photo series featuring model Joni Harbeck. They were taken with old Polaroid film stock, and look like stills from the bloodiest grainiest grittiest sun-drenched 1970s grindhouse crime flick you never saw. You can buy prints this Friday, wait for the book in the fall, or check out samples from the series right here. (Or here, in Krug's Flickr album.) I love these photos.

When I first glanced at the photo, I was thought, "Man,that looks like a cool still... wonder what movie."
Thanks for the link!
Now if Tarantino had made Grindhouse look like this it might have worked.
Now, that's a great find.
I think I'll be buying a couple prints. Good stuff.
Fantastic stuff. Is this one at A Twist Of Noir now? http://a-twist-of-noir.blogspot.com/
Looks like it.
I think that article in the NYT's also mentioned that Polaroid cameras are back in demand. Definitely a kewl pic.
