Halfway through the 700 page "Henry James: A Life" by Leon Edel, which I'm reading as preparation for next month's book club - we'll discuss "The Master" by Colm Toibin.
ReplyDeleteAlso reading a fascinating book about the creative mind called "Maps of the Imagination: The Writer as Cartographer" by Peter Turchi.
Just got Joe Konrath's "Dirty Martini" yesterday - am about 1/3rd through and plan on writing a review.
Am expecting "Origin: A Novel" by Diana Abu-Jaber to arrive tomorrow in the mail. Will write a review.
On the horizon is "A Welcome Grave" by Michael Koryta. Will write a review as well.
Just trying to get as much pleasure reading done before school starts up in August.

I just finished Don Winslow's THE LIFE AND DEATH OF BOBBY Z and then made the mistake of watching the movie version of it.
