Which brings me to my second package: my BookExpo America badge. If you happen to be attending BEA this weekend, be sure to stop by the Mystery Writers of America booth (#2750) at 10:30 a.m., where I'll be signing and giving away Severance ARCs to the first two dozen people who show up. Joining me will be Megan Abbott, who will have a pile of Queenpins to share. Afterwards, we're going to head over to the Hard Case Crime booth to check out the models. Ahem.

Looks freakin sweet. Can't wait to read it because the first 50 pages you sent me left me wanting more.
ReplyDeleteVery cool, Duane. Can't wait to read the whole thing.
ReplyDeleteOoh, ME WANT!
ReplyDelete10:30? 10:30 is right about when my agent wants me to pay an editor a social call.
ReplyDeleteI'll bet their booth is on the other side of the Javitz Center from there, too.
To deny patriots such as myself a copy of Severance Pay... Why do you hate America so, Duane?
Looks great. Can't wait to get my hands on one.
ReplyDeleteGreat cover. I wish I could be there at the BEA.
ReplyDeleteAnd the second two dozen people who show up will be given Pepperidge Farm cookies and champagne. Everybody after that will be shot.
ReplyDeleteI wish it were out already, too. Just finished The Blonde the other day and was blown away. My favorite read of the year so far. A pure adrenaline blast. It was my first exposure to your work and now I must read the rest. Looking forward to SP in a big way.
ReplyDeleteHey, Bryan--thanks! I thought DEATHBRINGER and FREAKSHOW were kick ass. (I'm a horror junkie, too...)
ReplyDeleteYou know what's crazy? The same day I read your comment I sold my fourth novel to Leisure Books. But I think I'm more jazzed by the idea that the author of The Blonde thinks my books kick ass. Seriously, I'm very glad you enjoyed them.
ReplyDeleteHi Duane:
ReplyDeleteJust finished "The Blonde" and really enjoyed it.
Is there a chance you have any of the ARCs of "Severage Package" left over for a web giveaway? Or are you saving those for another book show?
Best regards,
-Brendon
Hey Brendon: thanks for the kind words. I don't have any SEVERANCE arcs left, but if I manage to grab hold of one, a web giveaway is a smart idea.
